Buckely - Yellow Naped Amazon
We're just getting to know Buckey. Profile coming soon! |
Casey - Yellow Crowned Amazon
Sweet Casey came to The Nest after many years in showbiz at the Bloedel Conservatory. Casey is around 60 years of age and has some mobility and heart issues. But she is not lacking in sass, and lets you know if she's overdue for some attention. She'll gladly monopolize those few people she trusts for hours of head pets. Casey requires two different medications twice a day and has an adapted cage to keep her safe. |
Daisy - Indian Ringneck Parakeet
Daisy is one of our extra-special Nesters who battles neurological issues with grace and sass. Due to Daisy's issues, her routine is supplemented with twice-daily syringe feedings and two medications. She also enjoys snacking on pellets, cuddling up in soft blankets, and chirping to other birds nearby. Daisy gets weighed daily to help monitor her health and sees her vet often. We're so glad to help Daisy live a happy little life in spite of her conditions. |
Fig - Red Wing Parrot
Kindly sponsored by Cheryl Fig and Nest neighbor Newton are shy little cuties who are completely bonded and best friends. They both share a love for Nutriberries and have come a long way since they were rescued back in 2010. While we don't know their ages or genders, we do know they like calm and quiet, and a sense of security. A regular routine has given them the ability to flourish and become more trusting. Neither of these sweethearts are on medications and seem to be thriving while they await the best possible forever home. |
Max - Mealy Amazon
You might have met Max as he used to be a fixture in the Night Owl waiting area. We're so glad Max has been able to transition to The Nest where he's really fitting in and making us smile. Max enjoys looking out the window, doing a mean imitation of a crow call, and making other adorable noises for all his new Nest friends. Oh and you should see this guy turn into a fruit bat when it's misting time. Stay awesome Max! |
Mickey - Red Lored Amazon
Mickey is definitely our little Mob Boss. Mickey has zero tolerance for any funny business and prefers that everyone exactly does their job. Mickey appreciates the “hands off” approach to hanging out, and will do everything at his own pace. Mickey we believe is in his mid 40’s and like many an older fellow, he shows signs of arthritis. As you can see here, Mickey is a big fan of a mist bath! |
