We're so pleased to give these special birds a forever home, but it's always great when one can go into a private home where they will be the center of attention.

Casey - Yellow Crowned Amazon
​Sweet Casey came to The Nest after many years in showbiz at the Bloedel Conservatory. Casey is around 60 years of age and has some mobility and heart issues. But she is not lacking in sass, and lets you know if she's overdue for some attention. She'll gladly monopolize those few people she trusts for hours of head pets.
Casey requires two different medications twice a day and has an adapted cage to keep her safe. 
Casey is now living in a home with experienced Amazon people, and she's doted on day and night. Congrats Casey!​

Fig - Red Wing Parrot

Fig is shy little cutie who loves Nutriberries.  Sweet Fig has come a long way since  being rescued back in 2010. 
While we don't know their age or gender, we do know they like calm and quiet, and a sense of security.  A regular routine has given them the ability to flourish and become more trusting. 
Fig is now being fostered and living the good life in the home of an experienced parrot person, where they are getting all the peace and safety they need.
